Antarctica
Presented in this gallery is a selection of images from a 14 day excursion to the peninsula of Antarctica over the last 2 weeks of December 2015. I was asked along to assist my good friend, Stephen Johnson, and new friend Reid Elam.Leaving from Uschria in Argentina, we steamed across the pacific for 2 days before arriving at our first destination - Deception Island. Among other locations, we also visited penguin rookeries at Neko Harbor and Curvervill Island, visited the American and British bases on Anvers Island, and cruised up and down the Lemaire Channel.
Over those 10 days of travel around the peninsula, I was able to photograph from shipboard, zodiac, and to a limited extent, on land. As yet, this work does not represent a defined project. It is a selection of what I saw and experienced. Some of the work may appear in future projects.
A much more thorough accounting of the trip can be found on my Blog.
